I loved just browsing through photos on the web and Pinterest because I come across beauties like this one. A 1961 Triumph Bobber Speed Twin by Bunker Custom Cycles out of Istanbul. The crew over there have done an amazing job turning the somewhat ugly Speed Twin into a builder custom motorcycle with classic styling.
We have called it a bobber because of the styling but look at the rear of the bike. They completely fabricated a new rear end which includes a swingarm and some Burly Brand shocks. It might look like a true bobber but it is actually closer to a softail which makes the ride much more enjoyable. Additionally they fabricated a brand new aluminum fender which also incorporates the tail light right in the support bracket. Very clever.
Since the Triumph Speed Twin has a separate oil tank, they needed to put it somewhere that was in the way. Going with a smaller volume oil tank gave them the ability to install under seat for that classic bobber look. The solo seat was mounted on a hinge setup with beautiful gold springs. Also if you look very closely, you can see the cool turn signals that are almost incorporated right into the frame.
Overall, this is a beautiful build. Great design and classic bobber styling finished off with the black paint scheme will definitely get your attention. Be sure to head over to Bunker Custom Cycles website and social media to pages for their other awesome builds.
