The Bell Moto-3 Helmet has been the center of much anticipation this year. When I first heard that Bell was bringing back the vintage style of their original 1970’s motocross helmet, if brought me back to my childhood. I remember racing BMX and Motocross, flipping through gear catalogs, staring at the Bell helmets. The Bell motocross helmets were the ones to have.
Bell has created a modern helmet based on the design of their widely popular helmet in the 70’s, the Moto-3. Using this fame from the 70s, their Moto-3 helmet is one of the most recognizable helmets. As a result, they recreated the Moto-3 with modern technology and safety specs. The new Bell Moto-3 Helmet is ECE and DOT approved, the outer shell is a light weight fiberglass composite construction and the inner liner removable.
Bell Moto-3 Specs

While the new Moto-3 helmet would not be my full time replacement helmet for off-road use, it is a very comfortable and stylish alternative for the road. Bell has been constantly reinventing themselves, first with the introduction of the Bell Bullitt and now the Moto-3.
