XTR Pepo just keeps putting out one amazing Ducati after another. This lastest creation from them is no exception. 2003 Ducati Monster 1000 with vintage enduro racer styling named “Pata Negra” is absolutely stunning. Vintage styling mixed with modern technology always wins us over as this XTR Pepo Ducati Monster did.
Starting with a 2003 Ducati Monster, XTR completely stripped the bike down. Frame is mostly stock frame up front with a a modified sub-frame. A modified frame holds the Ducati 749 tank which has also been modified. A endurance racer styled quick fill gas cap was added which we love. Up front is their signature TT2 enduro style fairing with twin headlights mounted on a custom fairing stay bracket. To help keep the bike clean, an XTR front mud guard was fabricated and installed.
Now that the looks were finished, XTr is known for their performance as well. The engine was dissaembled and rebuilt. This includes high compression pistons, ported head and an Ergal lightened flywheel. Additionally, speedy moto ergal cnc machined case covers were installed. A tamburini race oil cool and aluminum radiator were installed to help keep this beast cool.
With all the engine mods boosting the power up, the suspension and brakes needed to be upgraded. A set of Ducati S4RS forks mounted to custom triples along with an Ohlins rear shock were used to keep the rubber on the ground. Brakes were then upgraded with Discacciati radial brake / clutch master cylinders, fully floating rotors, Brembo calipers and a set of Frenturbo brake lines.
I know I saw this with all their bikes, but this is one stunning machine. There are so many of them, that I don’t even have a favorite anymore because they all are. This Ducati Endurance Racer named “Pata Negra” is a true work of art combining styling with performance. Be sure to go check out more of XTR Pepo builds on their website and social media pages.
