When the Ducati 848 was released in 2008, it quickly became a favorite among Ducati enthusiasts. This little lightweight 849cc engine produces 122hp and was the perfect platform for Pepo Rosell to build a streetfighter. All of Pepo’s builds not only look great but his attention to performance is what sets him apart. This XTR Ducati 848 Streetfighter performs just as mean as it look.
As with all of Pepo’s builds, he starts by tearing down the donor bike and completely going over everything. He ditched all the stock bodywork form the 848 and with a RAD 02 fuel tank and a Ducati Monster front fearing. To finish off the bodywork, a custom XTR front fender and RAD Corso Evo Solo Seat was installed.
Now on to the performance upgrades to the bike which are numerous. Starting with the engine, he swapped out the OEM clutch for a xdry clutch conversion with the EVR antihooping kit. A Tamburini oversized race radiators and a monster oil cooler were added. Throttle bodies upgraded to 1098 ones. Custom XTR carbon fiber airbox for the intake and a Super Mario exhaust system with Spark mufflers were installed.
Going fast is one thing but you also need to be able to stop well needed. Pepo went with a set of Discacciati front brake rotors and Frentubo kevlar brake lines all around. The Brembo monobloc calipers as kept on the bike as they are high performance products right from the factory. Additionally, to help this beast handle, Pepo used an Ohlins rearshock and the wheels wrapped with a set of Pirelli Supercorsa tires.
As with all of XTR Pepo’s builds, there is no part or detail that is overlooked on his bikes. They will perform just as good as they look and this XTR Ducati 848 is a perfect example of that. Be sure to head ovber XTR Pepo’s website and social media pages for all his builds. He is constantly pumping out some amazing bikes.
