The crew over at Mellow Motorcycles have out done themselves with this Supercharged Triumph Thruxton. Let me tell you, there is nothing Mellow about this Thruxton. After winning the Sultan of Sprints show last year, Mellow was contact by Triumph to built them a motorcycle. After much pondering about which model to use, they settled on the Thruxton R as the perfect base.
Knowing that they wanted some special on this build, they decided to go with a supercharger. With the help from Triumph’s Hinkley factory, the supercharger was installed and plumbed to perfection. Other upgrades for the engine include larger fuel injectors, forged internals and an extra oil cooler for increased cooling. Helping get all the gases out, is a MotoGP inspired exhaust system built by SC-Project.
Now with all the performance brought into the modern ERA, they needed to bring the bike back to vintage styling. This was done by hand crafting an all metal fairing which took more than 300 hours to fabricated. Additional upgrades include a one off CNC extended swingarm, lowered clip ons, Brembo Braking and some wheels wrapped in Metzler RaceTec Slicks. This thing is a work of art but at 147 hp, its ready to rip up some pavement now.
After seeing some of Mellow’s build over the past few years, we have started really following them and enjoying their work. Be sure to head over to their website and social media pages to check out some of their other amazing builds.
