Some builds just have a tendency to stay on your mind even years after they are revealed. Ton Up Garage’s Honda 650 Scrambler named “Muxima” based on a FMX650 is one of them. Built back in 2015, Ton Up Garage was at the forefront of these single cylinder Honda’s becoming all the rage for custom builds.
Ton Up Garage’s client live in the town of Angola, Portugal and knew he needed a bike that could handle some of the terrain there. Starting off with a Honda FMX650 as the basis, they wanted to give it more of a Scrambler look. They fabricated a new subframe which houses the integrated tail light and supports the Brat style seat. The stock tank was ditched and another Honda tank was modified to fit.
Up front to give it that scrambler look and feel, a set of MX Handlebars were installed with Biltwell Grips. A Motogadget Speedo was installed along with a single round headlight that has a protective grill. To help improve the ride, the suspension, including the front forks were lowered a bit. Then to finish the bike off and give it proper rubber for it’s intended use, they wrapped the stock wheels with a set of Continental TKC80 tires.
This build from Ton Up Garage might be an oldie but it’s a goodie. We have been following Ton Up Garage since before this build and always love seeing what they come up with next. Be sure to head over to their website and give them a follow on social media. Happy Riding.
