Being a long time Buell owner, I have always been fascinated by Erik Buell’s forward thinking designs. Fuell is a new electric motorcycle and bike company started by Erik Buell in partnership with Spark Racing Technology’s Frederic Vasseur and Francois-Xavier Terny. With Erik Buell’s passion for 2 wheel designs and Frederic’s expertise in electric vehicles, I think this is going to be a great start-up.
Fuell has announced that they will show off 2 different models in the upcoming months with launch plans later this year. The first one which we are most excited about, is the electric motorcycle called the Flow. IT’s stated that this will be available in a 11kW or 15hp and a 35kW or 47 hp version. The styling of the bike we also love with it’s full faring and cool headlight. The only thing missing is the cool Buell perimeter brakes that I have always loved.
The second one which is named the Fluid, is an electric bike. The bike is said to have a 125 mile range while reaching speeds of 20-28 mph depending on the version. This amazing range of 128 miles is due to the design that allows for swapable batteries which are on board. Additionally, the bike has the ability to be recharged at most public EV charging stations and only takes 30 minutes.
We are definitely going to be keeping an ye out for these babies. The company has said that it is looking to launch their fully functioning website by April 2019 with Fluid deliveries hoping starting in late 2019. The Flow is said to be on track to be available in 2021 which we hoped would be sooner. Be sure to checkout their website once it is up and running to checkout these amazing machines. We wish Erik and Frederic all the best in this amazing start-up.
