Since their launch in 2015, we have been following Blacktrack Motors of Luxembourg and their amazing builds. Their lastest build the BT03, is a Harley Davidson Cafe Racer with a contemporary look and some amazing design components. With the BT03, Blacktrack founder and lead designer, Sacha Lakic, continues the fine tradition of looking to the past for inspiration. “The inception of the BT-03 style study came from a bike that marked my childhood,” he explains. “The Harley-Davidson XLCR.”
One of the their main focuses on this bike was to increase ride ability and reduce weight. To do this, they custom designed several bespoke CNC aluminum parts all in house. These CNC bits not only look amazing but they increase the overall performance of the bike. Although the weight of the bike has been reduced by 40% overall, the main frame and geometry have remained unchanged for the most part.
In addition to weight reduction, performance was also critical in this build. Ditching the performance lacking Harley parts, they decided to go with high performance upgrades. Up front is a set of custom CNC machined triples holding Ohlins FG424 forks. In the rear, the stock shock has been upgraded with an Ohlins HD501. To help stop this beast, Beringer brakes and master cylinders were installed.
Some of the other performance upgrades and bling on this beauty include Dymag Forged Wheels and composite Fender, Tail Section and Fuel Tank. One of the coolest features of the bike is the rear frame assembly that is fully machined out of aluminum and ties in the bodywork to the frame. The Blacktrack BT03 has a rear end that is better than a Kardashian.
Blacktrack Motors has been producing some amazing machines over the last few years. It all start with their BT01 which was a Honda CX500 Cafe Racer that went viral on the internet and motorcycle message boards. Since then, Sacha has continued to push the design envelope and out do himself each time. Before to head over to the website and their social media pages to see what they will come up with next.
